Designing and development

The vehicle is designed to fullfill all specific demands:

  • mechanical demands (voted torque 24 Nm, speed 0,5 m/s)
  • temperature conditions (T » 40 °C)
  • humidity (j » 100%)


All vehicle elements are designed:

  • base platform
  • housing
  • bearings
  • transmission
  • electric drive

Initial assembling is finished in the beginning of September 1999


Selection of adequate equipment

Tracked vehicle is equipped with the following:

  • two 12 V electronic motors with gearbox and safety clutch (12.5 Nm each)
  • two rechargeable batteries for up to 1 shift operation with fast-charging unit
  • radio-control unit (4 channels)
  • B/W CCD camera in water resistant casing, video transmitter and receiver unit
  • vane anemometer, designed for operation in 100% humidity
  • Pt 100 temperature sensor
